Are you looking for ways to help your children be more successful in school? Can you imagine having a good time with them while achieving this?
According to research, when you are involved in your child’s education, they are more likely to earn better grades, go to school regularly, take rigorous courses, and exhibit better behavior. However, sometimes it is difficult to figure out ways to help. That is where Connected Class Learning Link videos come in!
Throughout the year, I will be sending home short videos about one concept in reading or mathematics that we are working on in class. The videos will demonstrate a game using simple items such as cards, dominos, and dice that you can do with your child to practice the concept. Some even utilize technology to motivate students to read more or to read with more expression. Each video provides an explanation of the concept along with examples and definitions, so you don’t have to worry if your own skills are rusty. It also suggests ways to make the activity easier or more challenging to meet the needs of your child. Each activity comes with a video explaining how to play and an activity card with directions that you can print out or save for easy access.
If you notice your child struggling with a particular skill, please let me know so I can send additional Learning Link videos for extra practice.
