Game On:  Building Engagement with Gamification

Do you want to make learning more effective and engaging in your classroom without having to invest hours of preparation or money to do so?  Would you like your students to develop an appetite for learning that builds their knowledge as well as their confidence?  Then you need to participate in our Game On! Building Engagement with Gamification session.   

Learning Intentions:  

• Identify the components of gamification 
• Discuss gamification as a way to implement differentiation in the classroom   
• Create a formative assessment using gamification 
• Create a lesson using gamification 
• Explore Learning Link videos for added games in the classroom and home environment 

Benefits:  

• Teachers get paid $25.00 an hour for attendance and in-service points.  
• Additional ESE certification points can be earned through a follow-up assignment.   
• Ongoing support for implementation through ConnectedClass.com is available for site- licensed schools. 

Who should attend?  

• Any teacher who wants to increase student engagement and achievement.  
• Any administrator who wants to investigate what good gamification looks like as an instructional tool in their school and encourage their staff toward its use. 

Registration:  

• There are two different menus for Events on the website – one for the public and one for members. The Events button on the home page is open to all schools. To sign up for this session, you must log in to ConnectedClass.com, and go to the Events (PBC) button that is associated with your membership.
