Never Say Anything a Kid Can Say!

Do you talk for the majority of the time when you are teaching math?  This article by Steven Reinhart from GPS Training Days 1, 2 and 3 Mathematics 1 explains that good teaching in math does not come from standing in front of the class and lecturing.  Instead students learn best when they are the ones talking, answering questions, and discussing with one another.  Students must be active not passive in the process for them to get the most learning out of math class.
