Description:
Are you looking for ways to help your students make the most progress in your reading class? Are you looking to incorporate centers, revisit stations, or make your rotations and small groups more effective? This is the session for you! We will examine ways to impact literacy instruction to allow all the learners in your classroom to make the most progress.
Learning Intentions:
- Identify the various uses and benefits of small group learning (centers, stations, small groups).
- Consider the practical applications and techniques of enacting small groups in the reading classroom.
- Determine ways to measure learning and provide feedback meaningfully in small reading groups.
- Select small group reading activities that embrace multiple learning styles and preferences.
- Investigate any obstacles and develop a plan to overcome those barriers.
Benefits:
- Eligible teachers may receive $25.00 an hour for attendance plus in-service points.
- Additional certification points, including ESE points, can be earned through a follow-up assignment.
- Ongoing support for implementation through ConnectedClass.com is available for site-licensed schools.
- Earn Reading in-service points.
